Introduction to Unity Network:
- What we are:
- We are a non-partisan, non-special interest, grass roots, community glocal based network, with a variety of programs, projects, and organizations. As we are just launching our systems, everything is currently available in english, but eventually we will expand to other languages. The centerpiece of the Unity Network is a 501c3 non-profit organization called CLN based in California, our not-for-profit branch is called BJC, and our governance branch is called GEP, and the personal branch is J.
- Our Purpose:
- Our primary purpose, as a broad network, is to set up and coordinate a Community Elections system that alows the public to input projects and issues, prioritize them as a community, and help fundrase, staff, and support the projects to actualize them. Through the elections we will develop our focus as a network, and overtime that focus can change depending on the outcome of future elections. Most workers, including yourself, will never actually work on running the Community Elections system, but instead will be involved within one of the many projects we are working on. As our focus develops, most of us will be working on our top supported projects determined by the elections. Everyone gets participate in the elections, and you will be notified.
- Long Term Goal:
- Our long term goal is to help raise funds to support a vareity of projects that build collaboration between movements from across the world to benefit humanity. We call this Social Entreprenureship. Our processes are targeted at making all of our systems and programs accessible to the the most number of people possible. This means that most of our work takes place online, and we specialize in the fast one second click voting, the 5 minute meeting, and the 1 hour campaign launch.
- Our Processes:
- Everything we do is structured and systemic to create efficient and effective processes that can synchronize with the way our current society functions, which is fast and busy. All of our worker positions are organized into doing simple tasks that can be done in less than 1 hour so that anyone with a free hour can get involved. For people who can volunteer or be paid to work for more hours, you will have to take on multiple tasks or positions.
- Our Work Schedule:
- Our current structure consists of a one week active session per month where we pay people, and the rest of the month is volunteer only. People who are paid cannot aslo volunteer in most instances.

Communications Processes:
- Email
- The primary way to communicate with our network at this point in time is email. For any questions, issues, concerns, ideas etc... just email: hr@heeo.in
- Also you will want to get on the worker updates email list which is where we send out general work and task opportunities. You will also be added to other email lists later that are specific to the project(s) you are working on.
- Skype:
- For audio communication within a global organization, skype is a great way to talk for free. You can skype message or do an auido call at anytime to Jay's Skype ID: a0000d
- Phone:
- You can text or call Jay anytime, day or night. He wont answer if he is not available: 1-415-323-5833

Setting Up Your Worker Reporting Pads:
- The first step to becoming a worker in our network is to set up your Worker Reporting Pads. All of our systems are built to be self organizing, so you will need to take the initiative to get yourself set up in our system. This is quite easy, although a computer with internet connection is required for most of the work that you do with us. If you need help, just let us know. This should only take about 10 min. Getting Signed Up for More Work
- Although you may already know what you wil be working on, everyone needs to know how to sign up for additional work, as we do need help with a variety of projects and activities.
- The process is quite simple, just folllow the links and add your name to any tasks or responsiblities you may be interested in. If we approve you for the work, we will contact you and add the task info to your task pad.

Initial Buddy Set Up
- Before we Wrap Up, everyone must sign up for their inital buddies. Everyone works best with a buddy, so we get everyone buddied up right from the start. You will get more buddies in the future, but for now, your first two buddies will be fellow newbies so you have at least one other person who you can relate to as you are both going through the same process. As a global organization, your buddy could be anywhere in the world, so its ok if your english isn't your first language, and also when writing emails etc, try to be concious of your word choices.
- The process of choosing your buddy is very simple, everyone is buddieed with the last person who has joined and gone through this tutorial. All you have to do is click on the following link and add your name to the list, and your biddies are the person who signed up before you, and the person who is going to sign up after you. Your responsiblitiy is to contact your buddy, who was the last person that signed up, and then who ever comes next will contat you.

Wrap Up/ Evaluation/ Reporting:
- Now that your done, the last step is to wrap up, and evaluate your first tutorial, and report your work on your Work Report. Just go back to your work report for this month that you just made a bit ago, and add the time you took to do this tutorial, and also add any feedback or evaluation that you would like to make about this tutorial.

All done! :)
